About Our Organization
The Hazard-Perry County Economic Development Alliance (HPCEDA) was organized when a group of local business people and government officials came together to create an organization that would attract , develop and expand a diversified business base throughout the county.
The vision of HPCEDA is to forge a unified effort with the other private and public agencies in Hazard, Perry County and surrounding areas, including One East Kentucky, Coal Fields Industrial Authority, and the Hazard/Perry County Chamber of Commerce, to diversify the economy of our communities. The objective is to pool resources from both public and private sectors to ensure that Hazard-Perry County is best positioned to attract new business, strengthen the existing business base, and thereby ensure job growth for our region. This effort will ensure:
- That we have a detailed description of available business properties,
- That the Coal Fields Regional Industrial Park is maintained in a manner that’s attractive to manufacturing and other similar industries,
- That active relationships are maintained with current employers in the area and
- That private and government agencies in and around Hazard-Perry County are engaged to promote economic development.
The mission of the Perry County Economic Development Board is to attract, develop and expand a diversified business base throughout the county.
The Board is a membership of business people and government officials committed to the development of new and existing businesses within Perry County, KY.
